DAILY FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS Feed at a rate of 1% of horse body weight (10lbs for a 1000lb animal). A 2 gallon (8L) can will hold about 5 lbs (2.25kg) of cubes. A flake of hay will weigh about 4 lbs (2kg), with about 1lb (0.5kg) lost in feeding. Ground level feeding recommended.
